GHS Wins RRR Championship Round

Awarded Scholarships Three local seniors were awarded scholarships, after their speeches at the Rotary Round Robin championship play-off Tuesday night at the GL&P Auditorium. From left are Tawny Spinille of West Greene, Nicole Tittle of Chuckey-Doak, Rotarian Danny Gaby, chairman of the Rotary Round Robin contest, and Jason Jones of Greeneville High. Gaby announced that due to the closeness of the voting for the winners that the Club decided to award each contestant a $750 scholarship instead of awarding two $1,000 scholarshipss.

Round Robin In Action This is an overall view of the Rotary Round Robin contest. Danny Gaby, chairman of the Rotary Round Robin and Tony LaMarca, co-chairman (at left) conducted the contest as time-keeper and quiz master. The Rotary Round Robin team from South Greene is at the table to the left, and the team from Greeneville High is at the table to the right. Greeneville High won the contest 120 to 75.
